The Passover seder is a night devoted to weaving generations past, present and future into one story. Tradition has given us the tool of the Haggadah, but in order to wield it you must be a magid – a Jewish storyteller.
The Sages say that we all must see ourselves as leaving Egypt on this special night. The magid helps us do this. They harnesses narrative structure, evoke curiosity and engage the imagination so that the seder becomes a historical, intellectual and spiritual journey for everyone around the table.
